Coaching

Coaches & Managers Requirements

Head Coaches and Managers must be practising Christians who attend a Christian church regularly and fulfill all conditions of the Constitution (Rule 6.2.4.3). Head Coaches must complete a Form 2 and hold a current Working with Children card (where applicable under the appropriate legislation). A copy of the Form 2 for each official must be submitted to the WACFA office for registration and approval prior to the commencement of duties.

Assistant Coaches must fulfill all conditions of the Constitution (Rule 6.2.4.4). Assistant Coaches must fill out a Form 2 or a Form 9 and must have a current Working with Children card (where applicable under the appropriate legislation) and submit a copy to the WACFA office for registration and approval prior to the commencement of duties.

Coaches aged 14 to 17 years are subject to Form 2 or Form 9 requirements. In addition, they must be supervised at all times by an adult who holds a Form 2 and a current Working with Children card (where applicable under the appropriate legislation). A copy of the Form 2 for each official must be submitted to the WACFA office for registration and approval prior to the commencement of duties.

Coaches and Managers must adhere to and implement the Constitution, By-Laws and ethos of the
Association.

One of the key roles in every club is that of a team coach. Better coaches mean better players and more enjoyment from the game for players, parents and spectators.
